• Horse Show Shopping

With Kentucky’s new(ish) motto of “Unbridled Spirit,” we clearly take our love of horses seriously, and at this weekend’s Rock Creek Horse Show in Louisville, you’ll see a crowd of people who feel the same way. Beautiful horses, excellent showmanship, and fantastic shopping are all part of the classic event, and we’re happy to be a part of it all.

Elva Fields Jewelry is partnering with the Carl Meyers Co-Op tonight and Saturday night at the historic Rock Creek Riding Club and showcasing some of our summer collection designs with beautiful fashions for men and women from Sparrow and Carl Meyers of Lexington.

Up for some cotton candy, a bit of what makes Kentucky great, and a few fun jewels? Head over to Seneca Park for the 72nd Annual Rock Creek Horse Show, each weekend night starting at 7:00 p.m. It’s a tradition you’ll want to enjoy!

  • Hop on the 'Bus

Since we have family in Columbus, Ohio (affectionately called “The ‘Bus”) we’ve been looking to find a store for Elva Fields in the area…and, after an afternoon of shopping last summer, we stumbled upon a fabulous boutique. You know, one of those stores that has everything you would carry if you were lucky enough to have a cute shop in a fun, happenin’ part of town?

Collier West in the Short North Arts District of Columbus is just that kind of place—filled with vintage-inspired home accessories that are rooted in the past, but perfect for the present. And, even better, they feature fabulous jewelry! We are really looking forward to having some jewels included in this month’s celebrated Short North Gallery Hop, which is this Saturday, June 6th. The jewelry will remain on hand through the month of June, so stop in if you can—we hope to count some Buckeyes among our newest fans!

And check out Collier West’s website. We’re betting you’ll fall as hard as we did.

  • The Pages of Boho

The only thing we loved more about the pages of Boho magazine (a new publication for stylish green living) than the fact that they are entirely made of 100% post-consumer fiber (thus reducing their ecological footprint by 8.2 American football fields full of trees, emissions of 5.1 cars per year, and water for a shower of 50.4 days) was that they were kind of enough to include Elva Fields Jewelry in them!

The spring issue features one of our favorite necklaces in its “Recycled, Restyled, Reused” segment, which highlights eco-friendly items that lived a previous life as something else…before they were turned into a fresh, new design for today. We love that our jewelry is pictured among some beautiful, fun creations, and we think you’ll love the whole magazine! Pick up a copy at Barnes and Noble, Borders, Whole Foods, Hudson News, Universal News, or start a subscription at bohomag.com.

  • Elva in Lexington

We had the best time last night at our trunk show with Sparrow for Women at the Carl Meyers Co-Op in downtown Lexington, Kentucky! Lexington is such a great city, and we loved meeting so many new friends and seeing some old ones for the event as we tried on necklaces and earrings from the Elva Fields spring collection. Between good wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres, fabulous shop owners, beautiful clothes, and fun jewelry, we hated to hit the road back to Louisville at the end of the evening. Thanks for such a fantastic time, and we’ll look forward to another trunk show this summer!

In the meantime…check out the goods at Sparrow for Women (and maybe even convince a friend or husband to come along…Crittenden for Men has great things for the guy in your life!)
