This particular pony, of vintage Bakelite with brass features and ornamentation, finds itself nestled among strands of faceted sodalite teardrops and brass beads--a glamorous setting not only a reference to its acclaimed Bluegrass birth but also worthy of the horse brooch's regal profile. Furthermore, the brooch is detachable, allowing it to be worn elsewhere (on a hat to the races, perhaps?) or for the beads to show off their own resplendence sans equine (however charming the horse may be!) Measures 18.5" in length with double gilt copper hook closure.
