Hiding in the Grass

I spy with my little eye, a beautiful bug hiding in the grass. We found this interesting insect brooch at a recent flea market and fell immediately in love with its flapping wings, known as en tremblant for the tiny wire coil under each wing that allows them to move up and down playfully. Vinyl sequin-like beads in grass green from Africa serve as a bold backdrop for the winged wonder, and a gilt copper clasp completes the look at back. Measures 17.5" in length.
