Days of Cheer and Delight

Though it had been many years, (at least a decade?) we'd seen a beautiful brooch like this one before at a favorite summer flea market. Imagine our joy at finding another, though this time with a wonderful vintage vendor living in France. Distance was no obstacle (we would have been OVERJOYED to retrieve it in person, but air mail would have to do) and the flower arrived with the most charming collection of vintage stamps across its packaging label. Originally from Germany (and marked as such on the pin back) this cheerful bloom just brings a smile. Paired with strands of dotted bone beads from Kenya, there are sure to be days of cheer and delight ahead. Red-orange crystal and brass beads bring a pop of fun color at the back, and a gilt copper clasp fastens the design at 22" length.
