C'est l'Amour

It was l'amour at first sight with Paris - one look at its café-lined streets, la Seine glittering beneath all of those charming bridges, and of course the sparkling Tour Eiffel at night, and one can't help but fall in love. A vintage compact (with room enough for a bit of lipstick AND rouge!) from France hits all the highlights of the endlessly-romantic city of Paris, complete with engraved monuments featured in golden brass against an oh-so-glamorous oxblood-hued enamel lid. The compact opens to reveal a mirror and a hinged compartment with a screen for the loose powder it must have once contained. Can you imagine the adventures this gem has had?! As if the compact itself weren't alluring enough, it suspends from strands of vintage Nigerian glass beads in quite a striking color combination including deep blue, bright green, pale pink, and that oxblood beauty, too. A gilt copper hook clasps the necklace at approximately 17,75" length, shortest strand. Compact measures 4" length.
