The beautiful bounty that comes from work well done is satisfying and, now, stylish.  Three strands of faceted black glass, vintage costume pearls, and Indian gilt brass are bedecked at front and center with a lovely, blooming garland: a vintage necklace design by Alice Caviness.  Likely dating to the late 1950s or early 1960s, the black-on-gold metal plaques show wonderful flowers in remarkable relief, each covered in colorful enamel and jeweled with costume pearls.  A gold vermeil toggle clasp is at back, finishing the design at 18.5" overall, a labor of love and cheerful style.
