Wow Factor
Elva Fields
Originally part of our Mid-Winter Collection in 2010, (see the link below to its February 2010 listing) this beauty featured two strands of faceted and fabulous lapis lazuli beads at the time. Look for those lovely lapis beads in a necklace arriving to the website this summer, because we opted to brighten and lighten this statement style a bit with three strands of carved turquoise magnesite flower beads. The blue blooms are full of cheer and style, interspersed with faceted crystal and rare antique glass nailhead beads in cobalt blue. (The nailhead beads, though never used, came from a clothing manufacturer who would have hand-sewn the glass beads as adornment to garments in the early 1900s.) Here and now they set the stage for a jaw-dropping vintage pendant brooch jeweled with faux lapis, faux turquoise, and glittering garnet-like cabochons among rope-twisted accents. It's a stunner, and we hadn't seen anything like it when we found it at a favorite flea market in 2010...nor anything quite like it since, actually. It was a joy to give it a new look, complete with its original vintage brass necklace clasp echoing the rope design at back. Necklace measures 17.5" length at its shortest strand, with the marvelous pendant at front center measuring 4" diameter.

fun fact: We even have the original tag that accompanied the original necklace in 2010, to be included with the updated necklace of the same name.
