One of our favorite vintage horse brass finds to date, the wise and knowing owl perches gracefully at front center of strands of faceted agate beads. Though the medallion would have originally been threaded through the bridle of a horse (likely in England or Scotland) for good fortune or, later, for decoration, we love that it's now the golden pendant in this sophisticated and stylish design. The agate beads, their variety in pattern and hue, alternate with faceted brass from India, creating a beautiful setting for the bird, and a gilt copper toggle clasp at back brings the look together at 18.5" in overall length.
