We are all who have come before us, an incredible, wonderful mix of past, combining in the present, creating the future. And how amazing to celebrate this rich heritage of diversity and legacy. Paying homage to this idea, beads of various patterns and colors in glass are brought together from different African legends and traditions to create the beautiful backdrop for a 1940s gilt brass and faux citrine-jeweled bouquet brooch at the side. Even faceted brass beads from India play a part in the design, too. Who we are is beautiful, especially because of our differences. Measures 19" in length with a gilt copper hook clasp at back.
