We spied this antique locket at a favorite flea market last summer, and, heart racing, knew it would be such a beautiful treasure for someone. French blue enamel is unmistakably stunning, and even with the small losses near the hinge (visible in the images at left) this locket is lovely. Engraved decoration on its cover, the jewel opens to reveal a double frame for your own photographs, though we kept the one it contained intact. (Two gorgeous gals, perhaps sisters or best friends...a moment of happiness held within the golden frames.) The locket suspends from a 14 karat gold filled chain with lobster claw clasp. Measures 17.75" in overall length, the locket just shy of 1" in length.
