Not one but two beautiful bugs came our way in two different vintage jewelry auctions this winter - and matching, no less! We adore these cute critters, their green resin and costume pearl elements bring fun and color to etched golden wings and antennae. Five strands of freshwater pearls - in all shapes and sizes - become their happy home, and the bug brooches may be moved around as desired or removed entirely and worn elsewhere (a sweater? a clutch?) to allow the pearl necklace to be enjoyed on its own. A gilt copper toggle clasps the strands at back, the shortest of which measures 17.75” length.
