While moving the studio in 2018, we stumbled upon a basket of wood beads we had discovered at market years ago, but had stashed away. Early in the spring of 2019, we began playing around with the idea of finally creating some fun necklace designs with them and shared them soon after as our Happy Necklaces. You loved them so much, we sold out entirely, so we made a new batch of fun in summer 2018 and now this last one in 2024.
We love the scale of the beads that offer statement-making style without the weight (they are so light, just painted wood!) and hope they'll be an effortless, joyful way to bring some happy style to your every day. Each is entirely one of a kind, with a combination all its own, and fastened with a simple clasp at back.
Here, beads of beautiful blue wood (three shades that delight and style!) with a few vintage African glass beads at back are clasped by a gilt copper clasp and measure 20" in length, shortest strand.
